Day 1<\/h2>\n

P<\/span>ick up at the Dubrovnik Airport. Transfer to\u00a0Dubrovnik<\/strong>, check in to a hotel and free time for refreshment.\u00a0A tour of the Old City of Dubrovnik and its walls. You will be walking through streets, fortresses and squares of more than a thousand-year old history which made Dubrovnik a cultural center of Europe. History is present in the entire city which is a museum itself. All houses and monuments have a unique value. The Old City is encompassed by medieval walls and fortresses which have been preserved in their original form and opened for visitors as Dubrovnik\u2019s major attraction.<\/p>\n

In 1979, the Old City was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. However, Dubrovnik reached its world glory for second time quite recently. It happened by being the prime filming location of the globally popular series called Game of Thrones in which Dubrovnik took the main lead by providing a shooting site for the famous Kings Landing. You will be able to see and compare the popular actual scenes with real life sites.<\/p>\n

Day 2<\/h2>\n

A<\/span>fter breakfast we are leaving Dubrovnik for a day trip to the\u00a0Pelje\u0161ac Peninsula<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0Island of Kor\u010dula<\/strong>.\u00a0Our first stop will be at the Medieval town of Ston famous for the longest stone wall in Europe (5.5 km), salt cultivation farming and oyster beds. Did you know that the Croats claim that their oysters are the most delicious in the world? Therefore, a visit to Croatia implies that oyster tasting is simply a must. That is why Ston is nowadays most famous for its oyster farming and there you will experience local tradition by visiting one of the farms and tasting fresh oysters opened right before you.<\/p>\n

Pelje\u0161ac is often referred to as the Croatian Wine Empire<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

After the oyster refreshment, we continue towards the very end of the Pelje\u0161ac Peninsula in order to catch the ferry to the\u00a0Kor\u010dula Island<\/strong>, the Town of Kor\u010dula. You will have a beautiful scenic drive across the Pelje\u0161ac peninsula known for its beautiful slopes of vineyards and fabulous wines. That is why this area is often referred to as the Croatian Wine Empire. Wine cultivation on Pelje\u0161ac has continued since ancient Roman times. Nowadays Pelje\u0161ac has reached worldwide fame for its excellent sorts of wine called \u201cDinga\u010d\u201d and \u201cPostup\u201d. On our way back from Kor\u010dula we can stop at one of the wineries where you could taste the famous Croatian wine.<\/p>\n

We are expected to arrive to the old town of Kor\u010dula in the early afternoon, just before lunch. Kor\u010dula Old Town is one of the best preserved Medieval fortified towns in the Mediterranean. You will enter the world of medieval buildings, Venetian palaces and charming little squares where you can relax and enjoy its unique atmosphere. After the tour of the old town and the visit to the Marco Polo Museum, we will have lunch at one of the restaurants where you will enjoy traditional island food and wine.<\/p>\n

After the lunch we are heading back to the mainland and reaching Dubrovnik late afternoon. Free evening to enjoy the Old City of Dubrovnik and overnight stay in Dubrovnik.<\/p>\n

Day 3<\/h2>\n

M<\/span>orning: check out and leaving towards the\u00a0Island of Hvar<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the longest and sunniest of Croatian islands. We shall drive from Dubrovnik to Drvenik, near Makarska, where we catch a ferry to the Island of Hvar. We drive along the coastal road from where you will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the Adriatic archipelago.<\/p>\n

We expect to arrive to Su\u010duraj, the Island of Hvar at noon time.\u00a0From Su\u010duraj we are going to travel across the island where you will enjoy sightseeing. Our first stop will be at a famous UNESCO Heritage Site, The Stari Grad Plain \u2013 a valuable example of the ancient Greek system of agriculture dating from ancient Greek colonists in the 4th century BC. The ancient layout has been preserved by careful maintenance of stone walls for over 24 centuries that are astonishingly still in use today and the same crops, mainly grapes and olives, are still being grown in the fields.<\/p>\n

After the Plain we intend to visit the oldest town on the island \u2013 Stari Grad \u2013 where are going to have a tour of the town and free time for lunch.<\/p>\n

Our final destination that day will be the\u00a0Town of Hvar<\/strong>. A charming small town where history lurks from every corner. With its beautiful waterfront, 13th-century walls surrounding ornamented Gothic palaces and marble paved streets, the Town of Hvar gained worldwide glory. Besides the charming and old architecture, Hvar has an amazing natural setting of numerous bays where one can go for a swim away from the crowd.<\/p>\n

Day 4<\/h2>\n

A<\/span>fter breakfast you will have a tour of the old\u00a0Town of Hvar<\/strong>; the oldest municipal theatre in Europe (established in 1612), the arsenal and the Franciscan monastery, the fortress Fortica, the Cathedral of Hvar and last, but not least, the famous Hvar beaches where you will have free time for relaxing and swimming.\u00a0\"hvar203\"<\/span><\/p>\n

As per your wish, we can take a taxi boat to also very popular\u00a0Pakleni otoci islands<\/strong>\u00a0just across the town of Hvar. You will be able to enjoy the serenity of beautiful nature, clear waters and the sounds of seagulls.<\/p>\n

Free evening to enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the old town and overnight stay in Hvar.<\/p>\n

Day 5<\/h2>\n

M<\/span>Morning departure by a ferry to the mainland \u2013 to the city of\u00a0Split<\/strong>. A unique combination of ancient history and modern vibrant city. We expect to arrive to Split at 11.00 a.m. The tour of the old town of Split: a stroll through charming corners of the old city center as well as a famous \u201cancient walk\u201d through the Historical complex of Split with the best preserved ancient Roman palace complex in the world \u2013\u00a0Diocletian\u2019s palace<\/strong>\u00a0dating from 300 BC. At the end of the city tour you will be able to enjoy the popular local pastime \u2013 drinking coffee at the Split\u2019s waterfront promenade overlooking the port and observing the city\u2019s vibrant motion.<\/p>\n

Refreshed after the coffee we are boarding our van again and going for a lunch to the Dalmatian inland, to a village on the banks of the\u00a0River Cetina<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/strong>You are going to have a traditional lunch at local family household in Ruda village. It is a genuine inland village on the Ruda water spring situated in a canyon and surrounded by mountainous landscape. Prepare your palate for extraordinary flavors since you will try local homemade cooking, a rare opportunity nowadays and quite different from what restaurants\u2019 can offer you: local smoked ham (pr\u0161ut) with a homemade cheese, popular Dalmatian Peka as well as some of the local specialties like frog legs or river crabs, depending upon the season.<\/p>\n

After the lunch we are heading back to Split or Dubrovnik, depending upon the departure airport. Free evening and overnight stay in Split or Dubrovnik.<\/p>\n
